In 2014, expect the Dutch municipalities €660.000.000,- to the charges within fishing. Do you want to take a gamble which city the lion’s share of going to grab? Hint: it starts with an ‘a’ and ends in ‘amsterdam’.

The central bureau for statistics (CBS) collected the data of the 155 Dutch municipalities where paid parking is introduced (in total, the Netherlands has 403 municipalities since 1-1-2014), and it should be no surprise that the largest cities also have the most money. Los of the scale is also available space more of an issue where many people in a small space to live in.

After this open the doors to look to our capital city: Amsterdam budgeted in 2014 to 162 million euros for ‘additional assessment’. This is more than 27 percent of the total revenue from taxes. We suspect that only the CL is more important for Amsterdam. This 162 million is marginally less than the 166 million of 2013. Rotterdam does with 61 million also nice.

For 39 municipalities, a quarter of all municipalities that have parking fees collected, the amount of the parkeeropbrengst 10 percent or more of the heffingsinkomsten. This is rightly an important source of income, although you do have to remember, of course, also costs of maintenance, equipment, puppets for the enforcement etc.) .

This morning it was announced that parking in general has increased in price, you now have the big picture. In 2013, the total revenue 645 million euro.
