Messages from users have appeared on Chinese sites. It seems that the problem concerns not only the newest iPhone 13, but also last year's iPhone 12. All affected users confirm that smartphone screens have acquired a greenish tint on one side, and red on the other. It is quite easy to check the presence of a screen defect: it is enough to set a static wallpaper in black, then reduce the brightness to about 50%.
More than two months ago it became known that OLED screens for iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 is now supplied by the Chinese manufacturer BOE. Apple has previously used displays manufactured by Samsung Display.
The Cupertino-based company has not yet commented on the situation.
