Swiss Bank “cloned” its chief economist

A good employee is like gold. And, perhaps, many employers would like to “just” their ideal employees. Something like this decided to turn the administration of the Swiss Bank UBS, which has created a digital clone of its chief economist Daniel Kalta.

Digital copy powered by artificial intelligence, designed in the framework of the project UBS Companion. It aims to help leading financial professionals it is better to do business (but not to replace people their digital copies). As for the “clone”, the “digital Daniel” will be able to communicate with customers, providing them with all necessary information. However, AI is not able to go beyond pre-defined limits, and will only respond to questions concerning those areas for which they will have access granted by this Daniel. This is done in order to AI will not accidentally spilling confidential information and privacy.

To create a “digital clone” was used 120 professional HD cameras that recorded the movement of Daniel Kalta for some time. In addition, the AI was analyzed not only habits, but also how Daniel interacted with the customers. According to the authors, now the AI behavior is hard to distinguish from the original. Very soon a “clone” of Mr. Kalta pass the test: he has to communicate with hundreds of customers of the Bank in Zurich, however, the authors are very optimistic.

“In the future we will be able to see a lot of digital specialists UBS in thousands of different conference rooms.”
