A few years ago, the company MEEAudio “rolled” a very popular model of headphones, dubbed the M6Pro. These IEM, fully justifying its name, was focused primarily on the poor musicians and sound engineers who appreciated the novelty. Recently the company decided to update its hit and changed it almost all.
To begin with a brief excursion into history. The first generation M6Pro differed an interesting presentation with a neutral sound unusual, but the main problem of the model was very bright treble, which not everyone likes. Released later M7Pro was focused on “workers” of the rhythm section and offered an increased number of bass. The share of “audiophiles” went the company’s flagship P1, no wonder called the Pinnacle. Do not forget about athletes, they created and a regular M6 and a number of other models. Not enough in the line only available models for fans to listen to music, do not want to spend more than fifty dollars. And this model finally. By the way, about the prices: new M6Pro has kept the price tag of the first generation (yeah, just $ 50), and I suspect that the first generation is soon to be discontinued.

Packing and delivery

Design and comfortable wearing
In a stage using headphones, the main thing that? Reliable fixation in the ear and the overall strength of the structure. The developers have tried to satisfy both these needs. New M6Pro made still of clear plastic, you can choose between clear and smoke-gray options. The hull was slightly reworked, they are now more teardrop that improved appearance and ergonomics. In a few visible traces of glue, slightly spoiling the exterior, but the build quality is quite good.
Headphones sit perfectly in virtually any ear (BTE used the expected landing), providing good comfort and decent sound, especially with mnogopaltsevy nozzles.
Wire there are still interchangeable, and, as in the last revision, used the proprietary connector that resembles the one that was used in the chargers some old phones. In General, the solution is quite justified — high-quality MMCX connectors are just very expensive for headphones with the retail price and poor quality — worse than the non-replaceable cable. Used the connector as a whole has proved its strength and spare cables without problems sells itself MEEAudio (they even have wire option with Bluetooth). In General, to these headphones can be bought separately, all accessories, attachments, case, wire, even the headset. But back to the wires. The stock cables are made based on the same principle of maximum intensity: silicone insulation, internal reinforcement, large splitter, reliable angled plug. The main difference between the wires — one of them a single-button headset with MIC (by the way, quite good in quality). The headset unit is transparent, so if you want you can see its internal structure. Both wires have portions made of memory foam that helps to build a comfortable ear-hook for a secure fit. Both wires are almost not mikrofona (this is to thank behind-the-ear fit), a little harden in the cold and don’t tend to get confused. Stiffness is average, but the discomfort in wearing it is not.
Another finding MEEAudio steel replaceable outer panels, now you can easily give your headphones a bit of individuality. Faceplate made of aluminum, attached with adhesive base and securely fixed. At the moment you can order the panels with the finished drawings ($ 15, there is, in my opinion, option 4), the panels engraved with any text you wish ($ 25) or even with any picture ($ 30), so the scope for creativity is immense. I think over time MEEAudio develop a range of ready sockets, I would personally like to see options with veneer or carbon fiber inserts.
By the way, according to the technical specifications headphone moisture-proof, protection class IPX5, so rain or sweat, which is a good gig, have to survive without problems.
Sound
To listen following equipment was used.

Before listening headphones were heated for 48 hours, the change in sound was, but only for the first 6-7 hours, the rest of the time I “gogrial” them more for formalities.
If briefly to return to the first generation of this model, it is possible to note that they were tuningova in a very unusual for the price range style: neutral, detailed, with no pronounced flattening of the treble. It is the “top” was the main problem that revision — bright on some tracks even crossing the border of what is permitted. Of course, detailed and clamped RF absolutely necessary to control the records, but listen to the music in them was not always pleasant. In MEEAudio solved this problem to fix in the second revision is slightly smoothed treble peaks, trying to preserve the nature of the presentation of the model. They also slightly lifted midrange that benefited monotonnosti flow, now partly resemble M6Pro to P1, what is a good bid for success.
Bass, despite the lack of strong accent, noteworthy primarily because of the depth and density. Woofers go down to almost maximum for IEM depth. Of course, control this part of the range is not perfect, but can remain in place and not drown out other frequencies (if the track is not overloaded with synthetic bass). The resolution of LF is normal, it is not as high as the more expensive models, but for this price very well, the bass has normal massive and adequately conveys the texture. Sometimes I would like more hlestkost, but this has to models 3 times more expensive.
Then a neutral midrange, very good resolution, but without the slightest attempt anything to embellish. To wire feeder M6Pro, of course, does not hold, but in terms of impartiality is quite reminiscent of the model with the balanced anchor. Resolution — a very good level. As you know, these flow imposes certain requirements on the quality of the recording, from a regular listener you become almost sound engineer, and every major recording problems will be visible. On the other hand, the qualitative material revealed on a deeper level, with all microdelay and emotions. The headphones are very well build an imaginary scene, it is not a record, but much more average in width and about average in depth. The division of plans and instruments is normal, but to artificially inflate the space M6Pro not trying.
Vernacularly range is still quite pronounced, but this time the severity of it does not pass the boundaries of acceptable (though, of course, if you are sensitive to treble, this headphone is still not for you). The “top” there is enough detailed, the attack is a little sharper than it should be, but the fade worked very well, adding melodies of lightness and airiness.
Comparison, I will not paint, M6Pro still headphones, very different from their “classmates” in the manner of flow, therefore the problem of choice is not necessary. If you want neutral and detailed flow — M6Pro is perhaps the most inexpensive option to get it if you don’t want (for example, you are listening to poorly recorded tracks), in this price segment is quite other models.
Compatibility
Headphone can work with smartphones and tablets (and set the wire in the set hints at this), but the humor in the fact that at the worst phones they show the shortcomings of the sound path. However, such phones are now already not much, thanks to the chipset manufacturers. In General, for these headphones desirable player at least a mainstream level, starting with the same Cayin N3 and above. To select a source necessary to your taste, depending on purpose to emphasize the nature of the model or, conversely, it is smooth.
Stylistically versatile IEM, but to avoid bad entries clearly have, so that they are completely fault-finding gain of 8 points out of 10.
