Company Fisker Automotive, recently announced the creation of a luxury sedan, is able to oust the position of Tesla, continues to work in other directions. The company recently submitted a draft of an unmanned space Shuttle, able to carry passengers in the “smart” cities.
Until about the Shuttle is almost nothing to tell. It is only known that the development is carried out together with the Chinese company Hakim Unique Group, invested in Fisker Automotive a tidy sum. The Shuttle will be called Orbit and after will have all chances to become the public transport of the new generation in comparison with other similar buses, it will have more seats. How exactly — not specified, but if we take a comparison of similar projects from other manufacturers, which usually has six seats, it can be assumed that due to the lack Fisker Orbit cabin number of seats may be increased to eight pieces. In addition, inside the cabin will install a big screen, which will display the current route stops.
In Fisker note that the Orbit does not have to wait long. On the roads a “smart” city Hakim Unique bus will be available by the end of 2018. Given that Hakim Unique Group has branches in different cities and countries, it can be assumed that the brainchild of Fisker will appear in different places of our planet.
The idea of unmanned shuttles actively promoted by developers from different countries. There are similar projects in Russia. So, VolgaBUS company develops modular unmanned platform “MATRЕSHKA” which can mount a passenger Shuttle or flatbed on electric. Earlier it was reported that “Russian dolls” have already begun to be tested in the Russian Innopolis. At the moment their development is ongoing.
