Chinese robots-researchers will fly to the moon instead of people

All work on the study of the moon will be in automatic mode, writes China Daily, citing the high-ranking officer of China information. The lunar exploration program, including landing Rovers and research existing plans of the Chinese moon base, also will be held without the direct participation of the people.

According to official data, the Chinese future lunar base will be fully automated, allowing for exploration of the moon without risking someone’s life. And if the lunar mission involving human subjects is still planned, it is clearly not in the near future.

“By creating a robotic lunar station, China would be able to undertake more extensive and deep research,” — shared his plans for the unnamed official who attended the 7th International conference on innovation in space technology, held in Shanghai.

Next year China plans to land on the back side of the moon research probe “Chang’e-4”, followed by will leave the unit “Chang’e-5”, whose mission — the lunar soil and the subsequent delivery of it to the Ground.
