Team YouTube announced the launch of a new feature — a special chat Super Chat. This chat will allow viewers and fans to send to authors during live broadcasts of paid messages. Paid messages will be highlighted and will hang some time on the top of the chat.
The color and length of time that the message will be fixed, depends on the value of the message. Also the cost depends on the length of the message. To send paid messages to the YouTube site and in YouTube Gaming, as well as through app for Android. In app version for iOS feature Super Chat is not yet supported.
At the moment Super Chat is available in beta in a dozen countries, including the US, UK and Germany. 31 January 2017 it is planned to launch in 20 countries for content creators and more than 40 countries for the audience.
In the US the cost of a message varies from 1 dollar to 500 dollars. Paying $ 500 a user can write a message of 350 characters, it will be highlighted in red and will hang at the top of the chat as much as 5 hours.
