Have a short temper. Shizuo Heiwajima is known for his short temper and breaks out into vicious rage attacks- causing him to be feared by the residents of Ikebukuro. If something really upsets you, then voice your frustration. Remember that Shizuo does not hurt his friends and family, but don’t use that as an excuse to harm a stranger either.

Perform a specific action before losing your temper. Shizuo breaks a cigarette in half and grinds it into the ground, but you can choose to do what you like. Soon, people will begin to associate that action with you losing your temper.

Show off your strength. Shizuo can pick up vending machines, throw guard rails, and pull stop signs out of the ground, but you most certainly should not do that for a variety of reasons. Make fake vending machines and stop signs out of cardboard and use them as props instead.

Wear a bartender outfit. Not everyone can pull off a bartender outfit and not everyone has one lying around, so at least wear something fancy with a vest and bow tie. It’ll look enough like Shizuo’s bartender outfit that was given to him by his brother Kasuka.

Hate Izaya Orihara. Shizuo really hates Izaya. He hates his face and everything about him. Just seeing Izaya’s face makes him want to throw something at it. However, if you see an actual Izaya cosplayer around, don’t harass them. Instead you can either politely ask a cosplayer if they want to act out some Durarara!! scenes or you can just talk about how much and why you hate Izaya.

Consider having blonde hair. Blonde hair is somewhat uncommon in the world, especially in Ikebukuro. It is for this reason that Shizuo bleaches his hair many times to keep that light blonde color and not let his roots come out. You can still kinda be Shizuo if you have brown hair, as his natural color is brown.

Get a strong voice. Yelling “IIIIIIZZZAAAAYAAAA-KUUUNNNNN!!!!!” is a phrase Shizuo loves to say when he sees Izaya to express his rage as well as ripping things out of the ground and throwing heavy objects.

Enjoy dairy products and products containing milk. You can disregard this step if you’re lactose intolerant, but if you aren’t, then try to consume dairy products on a regular basis. Just remember not to throw any refrigerators over stolen pudding.
