Evidence that in their secret labs Google creates another virtual reality helmet, is recently published on the company’s website a list of vacancies. One of the posts in the list is “senior technical Manager of hardware for virtual reality”. Apparently, Google is developing not one, but several different VR headsets, as in the refinements to the vacancy published the following text: “the responsibilities of lead Manager include system integration of high-performance, battery powered consumer electronics products”.
“As the leading technical Manager for consumer electronics products, you can help expand growing portfolio of our company. You will be responsible for developing various user devices and will join a team that is appropriate for this task,” — says the text of the vacancy.
Another vacancy on the website Google says “engineer PCB devices for virtual reality”. His responsibilities include the development and support of the current products of the company. It may well be that all this is somehow related to the large investment by Google in the development of Magic Leap in the field of augmented reality.
