Schade in Rotterdam
Do you live in Rotterdam and are you looking for a cheap insurance, then it is worth considering to move to Friesland.

Residents pay, on average, namely 540 euros per year for their third party liability car insurance and are therefore more expensive than the rest of the Netherlands. That concludes verzekeringsvergelijker Independer, which looked at more than 96.000 requests in the period may to July 2014. That research also shows that there is in Rotterdam no escape: the city is in all weight categories the most expensive.

The figures are striking because in another research even showed that people from the netherlands a lot of damage driving and thus be expensive for insurers. Now, of course, that the city’s inhabitants, the average in “their” Zuid-Holland up a lot, but that kite is not completely, because The Hague scores high with an average of 528 euros in premiums per year.

If you prefer something cheaper, you can save a lot by moving to the northern provinces. In Zuidhorn, you pay, on average, only 311 euro, while in Franekeradeel and Now Fryslan 342 and 362 euro is also a good way. Why? Very simple: there are simply less cars in these municipalities, so the chance of damage is also less significant.

We are curious what you as Autoblog readers annually spend on your car insurance policy. Do you ride neat and save you considerably by a series of claim-free years or you fall rather under the heading brokkenpiloot?
