Life sentence for Sweden to terror in Syria

STOCKHOLM –

Two Swedish men were Monday sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorist offences in Syria in 2013. The two, 32 and 30 years, had assisted at the executions, according to the Swedish court.

The Swedish police had in the house of one of them a USB stick found with videos of the killings. Subsequently, three masked men and three prisoners on their knees to see. Two of the prisoners, the throat cut, and the other is beheaded. The three around it cheering.

The prosecutor said earlier in the process that the two Swedes not the knife have used. “But for the rest they were very concerned.” The court considers proven that the duo sympathized with a regime that aspires to a caliphate. The two deny it and go in appeal.
