France protects Banksy-graffiti in Calais

CALAIS –

The French city of Calais is going to be a number of murals from the world-famous graffiti artist Banksy is protected with the (plexi)glass. That has the city government Saturday reported. Banksy, the city has secretly visited and in different places works of art left behind, it was Friday discovered.

One painting is made in the ‘Jungle’, the camp where thousands of illegal refugees are. The painting was Apple founder Steve Jobs for with a shoulder bag and an old Apple computer under his arm, and has as its subtitle ‘the son of a Syrian immigrant,” which Jobs, and indeed he was.

Elsewhere in Calais is the text applied ‘Maybe this whole situation will sort itself out’ (Maybe this situation will resolve itself). Also, there is a mural of a group of refugees on a wrakkig smoothly, with the subtitle ‘We are not all in the same boat’. The last work shows a child with a suitcase and a pair of binoculars where a vulture is sitting on it.

Banksy is known for his fierce social criticism.
