In the third quarter of 2018, the Chinese company Huawei for the first time ranked first in the Russian market of smartphones by number of units sold.
The share of Huawei accounted for 28.3% of sales of smartphones in Russia, it is three times more compared to the same quarter last year. In total, Russia has sold 8.3 million smartphones in the quarter is 1.6% more than last year’s result. Fallen to second place the former leader, Samsung, has a share of 24.8%. In third place is Apple with 11.7%.
If you look in terms of money, Apple is the leader with a share of 32%, second is Samsung with a share of 26.4% in the third — Huawei from 25.4%. The share of the three leaders accounted for 94.1 per cent of all smartphones sold in the MTS retail chain in monetary terms.
