smartphones with flexible displays sell in 2019.
The company Display Supply Chain Consultant conducted a study and came to the conclusion that in 2019 Buda has already sold 3.1 million devices with flexible displays.
In the first quarter of 2019, the company expects the release of such smartphones from Samsung Electronics and Huawei. In 2022, the market for flexible displays will grow to 63 million.
Such folding devices can be used as a smartphone when folded and a tablet when unfolded. The price of such device will be about 2 thousand dollars or more. It is even a lot more premium smartphones for 1.5 thousand. Manufacturers are trying to invent some additional “killer” chips that will be able to attract users and convince them to shell out that kind of money.
