Found a way to keep track of any device on Android

Nightwatch Cybersecurity company specializing in computer security, spoke about the new found vulnerabilities in the Android operating system.

It allows applications to ignore permissions to get system information such as the name of the Wi-Fi network, the identifier of the BSSID (Basic Service Set Identifiers), MAC address, the device DNS server and local IP addresses.

With such data, the app can determine your location and monitor any Android device, until the exact geographical address. This allows hackers to attack Wi-Fi network.

The good news is that Google has eliminated the vulnerability in the new OS — Android 9.0 Pie. The bad news is that it does a less than 0.1% of Android devices.
