Apparently, the smartphone Huawei P9 will not get firmware update to Android 8.0 Oreo. This was reported by a customer service representative in Britain.
Interestingly, a few months ago Huawei launched a beta testing Android 8.0 Oreo for some of their most new smartphones, including the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus.
One British user has sent an email to the UK support Huawei with the release dates of Android updates for Huawei P9 8.0. He said that the smartphone has a number of hardware limitations that result in deadlocks, incorrect operation and rapid discharge of the battery. Because of them, the smartphone may not receive the update to Android 8.0 Oreo.
