Daimler started selling electrogrooving in the United States, Europe and Japan

One of the first clients who received six electric trucks from Daimler was the company DHL. Eight Daimler Fuso eCanter is an electric product — bought three more transport companies — DB Schenker, Dachser and Rhenus. Earlier, the American company UPS also received the first batch of these trucks for testing. 25 eCanter went to Japan — where they will be used for the delivery of goods for the store chain Seven-Eleven.

“With the new Daimler Fuso eCanter our customers will not only be able to contribute to the fight against environmental pollution, but it will be good to save on servicing our new trucks, repair costs which are significantly cheaper than their counterparts with internal combustion engines,” says mark Llistosella, head of Daimler Trucks Asia.

Fuso eCanter is a small electric truck developed by Daimler-owned Mitsubishi Fuso. One charger allows the truck to travel up to a hundred kilometers, and its capacity is 4.5 tons.

Mass production of trucks has not yet begun, so the price on eCanter at Daimler did not disclose, promising that details when you run the pipeline at full capacity. This should happen in 2019.
