Gigabyte has created the most compact in the world the GTX 1080

Taiwanese company Gigabyte is well known throughout the world. Since 1986, it manufactures motherboards, video cards, network and server equipment, optical drives, monitors, power supplies and other components. Recently among manufacturers of computer hardware there’s a rather curious trend: the miniaturization of components. In this race involving some of the largest companies, including Acer. And the latter managed to set a record by releasing the world’s smallest video card GTX 1080.

Last year, Gigabyte engineers managed to fit a GeForce GTX 1070 for form factor motherboard mini-ITX. But to stop there they did not. The length of the new card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Mini ITX 8G is only 16.9 inches. And this despite the fact that the average length of class cards GTX 1080 is about 26.7 inches. New form factor graphics card will produce a much more compact system units with enough powerful hardware to run modern games on high graphics settings.

Compact graphics card uses a 90 mm cooler along with radiator and three copper pipes for heat dissipation. The cooler automatically turns on in those moments when the graphics card is under heavy load and off idle. While the manufacturer does not mention the cost of a new graphics card and the exact date of its receipt by retail.
