Turtles interfere with air traffic, a New York

NEW YORK –

The air traffic at New York’s JFK airport Friday evening (local time) short time was suspended for a while for a remarkable reason. Dozens of turtles were from the nearby Jamaica Bay and crawled inside, and on a runway too.

A number of flights had to wait until animal rights the diamantrugschildpadden had caught. The animals were in a safe place off.

The turtles come each year in summer the water to lay eggs on the beach. Normally they are at JFK stopped by a fence of plastic pipes, but who turns out, at high tide under water, are forcing the animals over to be able to swim.
