The opposition is protesting en masse in Istanbul

ISTANBUL –

Hundreds of thousands of people Sunday afternoon in the Turkish city of Istanbul the street merged. They protest against the harsh action of the government since the failed coup of last year.

The massabetoging is the culmination of a 25-day march from the capital Ankara to Istanbul, organized by the CHP, the largest opposition party of Turkey. The march began on 15 June and was intended as a protest against the islamic-conservative government. Gradually, locks thousands of people joined the march.

At the closing ceremony in the district of Maltepe marched the protesters to a speech to listen of party chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu of the CHP. They waved Turkish flags and banners with the text ‘justice’. In the city are certainly the 15,000 police officers on the leg.
