Online sales is a great danger for the economy

It creates, on the other hand also new opportunities.

The internet is fantastic. The internet is at the same time is an abomination. So, there is not only crime in all its forms, but ‘down’ the internet, also our economy. You see for years, with traditional shops. Large chains like V&D fall, and this past week was a Blocker is huge in the news. The big bosses behind these shops carry or reforms, but this is actually a reprieve. You must have a business plan and vision, dramatically flipping to survive as a traditional retailer in a world where everything with a few mouse clicks is done.

Also the world is heading for economic suicide. Tesla, for example, has no traditional dealerships. Everything is going online, or by phone. The expectation is that more manufacturers in this direction will continue and dealers will disappear. Only the real specialists can survive, all of these will, over time, against the lamp when it is finally over and done with the conventional internal combustion engine.

According to British researchers Trustpilot and Centre for Economics and Business, this new world seriously, a lot of jobs costs. They estimate that over the next ten years, about 27.000 jobs will disappear. The buy – and sell a car will more and more go online to play. They think that by 2020 some two billion to sell online will be handled.

Homework for traditional car dealers. For us car enthusiasts is a visit to the dealer no problem. Even ‘smell’ of a new car in combination with a (dirty) cup of coffee is not a tedious outing. Moreover, it is a test drive important to us. For the average consumer this will be a old-fashioned and time-consuming activity. Test drives are now becoming less and less important. This is what you see with supercars. People placed, for example, an early order for the new McLaren 720S, while not even known was how the car would look like. The confidence in the manufacturer is so great that they think that it is good. And honestly: for the purchase of a new Polo is a test drive not necessary. Just configure via the site and ready is kees.

The battle for car sales will in the foreseeable future, so go online to play. Not that this is a kiss of death. Car companies will themselves need to re going to invent this new form of car sales to make it a success. Only disadvantage: many jobs will be lost. (via ThisIsMoney)
