At CES 2017, which runs from 5 to 8 January in Las Vegas, LG Electronics showed a new model of smart refrigerator Smart InstaView with a translucent touchscreen.
We will remind, last year LG has demonstrated a fridge Smart InstaView with 21.5-inch touch screen integrated into one of the doors. Software platform then performed the Windows 10 operating system with voice assistant Cortan. Now in the fridge involved a proprietary OS LG webOS, augmented voice assistant Alexa from Amazon.
The touchscreen is a 29-inch and can still move in semi-transparent mode and show the contents inside without opening the door. The user can give the fridge a voice command, for example, to search for recipes, play music, place orders on Amazon, add products to your shopping list, and so on. Check the product remotely via a mobile app with the built-in ultrasonically 2-megapixel camera capable of shooting content from different angles. The refrigerator is connected to the network via Wi-Fi.
