Lamborghini explores new possibilities of carbon fiber

The Italians are crazy about the material.

Lamborghini has a new laboratory in Seattle was opened to conduct research into the possibilities of carbon fiber. The history between carbon and Lambo’s began over 30 years ago with the Countach 5000 QV in 1985.

The choice for Seattle is not random. Boeing operates namely from this American city. Lamborghini has a partnership with the aircraft manufacturer, and together they go studies to be conducted in the new lab.

The Italian carmaker wants to in the future make more use of carbon. Regular models such as the Aventador and the Huracán have the material, but this is still in a limited form. Among other things, the limited-edition Sesto Elemento and recently in Geneva revealed Centenario have been a lot more carbon fiber parts. These models then act also as a concept for the future.
