The C70 was many years a market leader in the segment of premium convertibles, and that means there’s also enough used offer.

The first generation C70 came as a coupe on the market, but soon there appeared a convertible with soft-top. For the second generation of combined Volvo both models and thus gave the C70 a steel klapdak. In 2010, the C70 is a drastic facelift with a whole new nose. In 2012, it was still some adjustments for the latest model year and now is the C70 out of production. A successor is not announced, so the only option is to have an open Volvo to drive to a C70 as a used car to buy.

Offer occassions

• On AutoScout24 are more than 120 copies of second hand Volvo C70.
• Almost 30% has a diesel engine.
• Three-quarters of the range has an automatic gearbox.
• A lot of the C70’s are silver, black, and gray, but red and white are also found.
• More than 80% has leather upholstery, three-quarters has navigation.

Pros

Issues

• More regular oil change for the 2.4 D and D5 engines (2007-2009).
• Not the most modern circuit in very recent instances).
• With the automatic gearbox, it may be wise to allow the fluid to check: it should be red and clear, and enough filled.
• Each cabriolet occasion to the effect of the hood to be well controlled to smoothly open and close.
• Especially Pirelli tires at the rear can quickly cuppen, the sawtooth profile which emerges gives more bandenrumoer.
• The roll cage (ROPS) can in various types of accidents to be active. This shoot with a closed hood by the rear window. You can find in the gutter of the hood and trunk fragments, that C70 may have been involved in an accident.
