The first convergent pre-orders for the Ubuntu tablet will start in Russia

The Spanish manufacturer BQ has announced the imminent start of pre-orders in Russia for M10 Aquaris Ubuntu Edition. Recall that the model is positioned as the first converged Ubuntu-tablet or the world’s first tablet with a desktop OS version of Ubuntu. It was presented to BQ and Canonical in February 2016.



The tablet will be available from March 28 in the online store Ozon.ru two versions – HD for the price of 19 990 rubles, and Full HD 23 990 rubles, respectively. Delivery will start on 20 may 2016.

The device combines desktop and mobile version of the OS, the software interface adapts to the screen size. The tablet can run on ordinary PC, connecting the necessary peripherals and running on the app as you would on a laptop or desktop.

The BQ Aquaris Ubuntu Edition M10 FHD is equipped with a display diagonal of 10.1 inches with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels), 8-megapixel main and 5 megapixel front cameras, front-facing speakers, Quad core processor MediaTek MT8163A, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal flash memory with possibility to use microSD card up to 64 GB. You can also note the battery on 7280 mAh. Supported Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.

The BQ Aquaris Ubuntu Edition M10 FH got a 10.1-inch display with HD resolution (1280 x 800 pixels), 5-megapixel main and 2-megapixel front camera.
