If you are looking for and not too much damage to the bank balance wants to inflict, you may not have to be the Skoda Superb.

Also with the first generation Superb, this was already so, but that was in terms of styling an extended Volkswagen Passat. The second Superb was a lot more of your own face, while not everyone is immediately a fan of the hatchback. In 2010 followed the station wagon and in 2013 received the Superb a subtle facelift.

Offer used cars

On AutoScout24 stand 300 Skoda Superbs of this generation to purchase.
Almost 60% has a diesel engine.
More than 20% has an automatic gearbox.
Almost 80% has a navigation system.
More than a quarter has leather trim.
Most of the Superbs have parking sensors and that is no superfluous luxury.
Prices start at 8,000 euros.

Pros

More spacious than the average cruise ship.
Wider in the rear than many top-sedan.
And certainly more spacious than the competition.

Issues

The Columbus navigation system is still running sometimes. Make sure that the latest software on it installed and check the operation.
Oil consumption 2.0 TFSI engines: new piston rings would fix it, but that is so expensive that it is cheaper to occasionally get oil to throw.
(Rear)tires cuppen relatively quickly.
DSG box with seven gears: check for correct and smooth shifting/ rumbling noises in low gears/ smooth shifting from 1 to 2. First model years had problems, but that would be resolved.
Timing chain in the TSI engines: It is mainly a problem in the early model years, but check to make sure the engine is clean start and good move. 1.4 TSI is not, in principle, the probleemversie with 170 hp, but completely bulletproof is not and also the 2.0 TSI can suffer from it.

Minor irritations

Air conditioning only as a complete degree adjustable, and touch sometimes of battle.
Hatchback has no achterruitwisser.
Speakers from Columbus audio do not have the best sound.
Tank is only 60 litres if you are quite full throws on the small side.
Condensation in the fog lights.
Rammels in (the near of) the glovebox.
