The F1 circus area again, down in the Principality to be under the eye of thousands of spectators and a group of luxisten in the marina, the V6’jes to roar. In the past few years knew the rider on the 1st place always at that place to finish the race. But this was also this year that the case?
Spoiler alert: yes.
The first person who drops out of the race was Sergio Perez of Force India, which was not long after the start – even in the first round – the unfortunate crashed and the first safetycar situation launched. A few round later it was Sebastian Vettel – started from the fourth place – that is doomed. Not because of a collision or a rijfout, but due to a problem with the versnellingsback. ‘Stuck in first gear’, called the four-times F1 champion on the radio, before he and his Red Bull the pitsstraat rammed. End of the race for Vettel.

Meanwhile reason, the number one and two – Rosberg and Hamilton – getting further and further away from were times. For a large part of the race kept Lewis Hamilton behind his team-mate hanging. Until he started with his left eye, and the lap times continue to sink. This came Daniel Ricciardo in his Red Bull even very close to Hamilton in the near, what a nice field of tension generated in the tail of the race.
Rosberg drove meanwhile onbedreigd across the finish line first, followed by Hamilton 9.2 seconds behind. Ricciardo was only four tenths later.
