Bentley-designer vindt Lincolns Continental een slappe kopie
Fittie! Our zuiderbuur Luc Donckerwolke, since 2012, director of design at Bentley, has very little good to say about the whole concept car that Lincoln this week presented.

On the stage of the überluxe cars plays the decrepit Lincoln virtually no role of significance. Something the new boss of Ford wants to improve it. And with a revival of the legendary Continental, later this week at the auto show of New York is in draft form his debut experience.

The problem, according to Luc (and countless ‘reacreeps’ here) is that the conceptual Continental little too much on the stately sedan, the Bentley seems to be. An opinion that he is not for himself, since he is on his Facebook page (no link, because not to be found) according to CarDesignNews the following comment plempte:

“I would have called it the Flying Spur concept, and kept the four round lights,”

Then he went to the Facebook page of Lincoln’s head of design, David Woodhouse, to take a sarcastic sneer to share:

“Do you want us to send the product tooling?”

A note which is then volatile was removed.

In conversation with Road&Track says Donckerwolke that ‘a copy if the automotive design world a bad name’. Officially, Bentley has not yet responded to the Conti of Ford’s premium brand, so for now, this seems to be purely the personal opinion of Donckerwolke.

And we can bring him out of it are wrong?
