Alfa’s flagship and imagoversterker currently houses 240 hp. Compared to the low car weight, that’s great score. However, we need to seriously take into account that there is a version (or versions) with more power will come.

That concludes Automotive News after an interview with Harald Wester, CEO of Alfa Romeo. Although the Italians hardly have a wheel to sell and for the umpteenth time with a new policy to come (tomorrow we hear hopefully more), know the brand with the 4C a lot of spotlight to address. The current Alfa Romeo 4C 1.750 Tbi delivers 240 hp at 6000 rpm and generates a torque of 350 Nm from 4000 rpm. Alfa has the know-how, in addition to in-house a 1.8-liter four-cylinder 300 hp to pull, so a vehicle in that direction is a logical step.

What we also can expect is that Alfa Romeo, the 4C annual updates will be provided to “the enthusiasm for the 4C to keep alive,” says Alfa’s marketingbaas Alberto Cavaggioni against Top Gear. An example of this is the recent koplampwissel for the new model year.

When Alfa Romeo was a hotter version (GTA?) of the €59.650 costing 4C on the market is still unknown.
