Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015
This coming weekend begins with the 6 hours of Silverstone and the WEC season 2015. The most important weekend of 13-14 June, as the 24 hours of Le Mans is held. These are the contenders in the top range.

No less than 4 teams – 2 German and 2 Japanese – will compete this year in the LMP-H class for the overall victory on the circuit de Sarthe, and they are all doing it in their own way. The Nissan must still be approved, but if the rumors are correct that they are in the 2 MJ class racing this year all 4 of the ERS-use categories!

The principle of these categories is simple: the more energy per lap is recovered, the less fuel per round, you may use. For example: the Porsche 919 may be 8 MJ-category maximum of 88,5 kg of petrol per hour devoid, while a comparable LMP1 in the 2MJ category is limited to 94,3 kg/hour. This makes a big difference nevertheless soon a litertje or 8.

Audi: at Le Mans, and remains Audi with its huge overwinningenlijst the beat team. The R18 TDI stayed in the base the same, but moved a category, from 2 to 4 MJ.

Toyota: the winner (with force majeure) of the WEC season 2014 is still waiting for his first Le Mans win, a shame that the Japanese people this year are going to try to rectify. The pretty dominant TS040 continued this year in the basis, and comes out again in the 6 MJ class.

Let’s hope for Toyota that this time also agree in the most important race manages to prevail.

Porsche: Porsche performs just like last year with 2 cars, but at Le Mans with no less than 3 cars. It is the only participant in the supreme 8 MJ-category. For Le Mans it was this choice, clearly, but it took the Germans a lot of work to also on the shorter circuits to ensure that this enormous amount of energy recovered could be. It is they apparently succeeded, and so we see Porsche, with their complex steering wheel – this year in the most extreme entry.

Nissan: the new kid on the block. It uses an innovative voorwielaandrijver, which is currently still busy with it being tested. The first 2 races (Silverstone and Spa) to be skipped, but at Le Mans they are there. Between now and then to follow all the details, but as said, insiders expect an entry in the 2 MJ class.
