Volkswagen comes with new VR6 engine

According to sources, would Volkswagen working on a new version of the VR6 engine. I like the sound of that!
Volkswagen is working on a V6 with small inclined angle and with direct injection. That would mean that the legendary VR6 sticker ever back could come into the line-up of VW.
The rumors come from sources in the engineering branch of VW in Braunschweig, germany, where Fritz Eichler at the head of the development of the new block. Fritz Eichler was previously the head of development of Mercedes’ AMG engines, so that’s promising. At this time, the old VR6 engines for a few modelletjes used but are not exactly the cleanest (and therefore most popular) engines more.
The new VR6 would be a volume of 3.0 liters and a very tight inclined angle of 15 degrees. The major differences with the earlier VR6 motors would make him sit in the charger: very likely the new VR6 with a twin turbo setup. The engine from the Design Vision GTI that we saw at Wörthersee could be a precursor of the block already under the hood. That concept was reportedly good for 503 hp and 560 Nm.
