A place where the rally heroes of the past, fraternally next to each other.

The success for Toyota in the WRC began in 1990, when Carlos Sainz the championship won behind the wheel of a Toyota Celica GT4, followed two years later by a two the title. In 1993, won Toyota’s motorsportafdeling, then Toyota Team Europe was, in addition to the regular championship (Juha Kankunnen) also the constructeurstitel. The racesucces of Toyota extended then further and further out. Not only in the rally world – where it often Subaru for themselves had to endure – but also in Le Mans races, and from 2001 to 2009 at the starting line of the king’s class.

Back to the rallysucces in the early nineties. The remnants of that time are neatly stored away in Cologne, where petrolfotograaf GF Williams recently had a look could take. He came there on a Celica TA64 (Group B), the Celica GT4 Carlos Sainz, and a sinister black MR2.
