With the almost new Manta still fresh in the memory, it is now the turn of an even more special Opel: Ascona 400 in rallytrim with only 264 miles on the odometer. On the photos to see the Ascona during those last few kilometres in any case, nothing ago.

Beneath the characteristic painted hood are 286 horsepower to wait on the hard action. Street versions of the Ascona 400 took around 150 hp from the atmospheric 2,4-litre, four-cylinder, but in rallytrim could just go up to values in the direction of the 350 hp. A not-insignificant detail: ‘Ringbaas Walter Röhrl drove an Ascona 400 in ’82 the rallyconcurrentie on a pile.

Really nice things cost really serious money, da’s in the case of this windfall and not otherwise. For 89.500 euros should you take to this dealer in the picturesque Almelo, the netherlands.
