Take your pick: 50 years of Alpina, new or old?

In 1965 Alpina was founded. First, they are tuner of BMW’s, since 1983 Alpina is recognised as an independent manufacturer. We take an early 5 and 6 Series, Alpina, and put in opposition to the anniversary version of the current 5 and 6. With the difficult question: what should it be?
Some things seem never to change. The Alpina taken care of BMW’s for example. The recipe is already for years the same: thick front spoiler with Alpina-text, very wrong striping on the flanks, a velgontwerp that over the years, but is limited evolved and type designation which is to me the logic is still not clear.
B5 and B6 Edition 50
That last doesn’t apply to the special for the golden jubilee presented B5 and B6 Edition 50, Alpina’s vision on the 5 and 6 Series. Under the hood a 4.4-liter V8, which for the occasion of 540 to 600 hp is helped. The torque is a fine 800 Newtonmetertjes. That brings in the B5 Touring in a top of 323 km/h, while the sedan and five-kilometre run faster. The Alpina B6 laughs last, gets less than 330 km/h. All models come a little quickly, the 100 in only 4.2 seconds.
B7 Turbo and B7 Turbo Coupe
We put the Alpina B7 Turbo and B7 Turbo Coupe from the late ’70s. Just like the new B5 and B6 are not based on the current top models, the BMW Motorsport GmbH under the hands taken M535i and 635 M CSI, but on the less powerful 3-litre version of the M30 engine. There screwed Alpina then a turbo, so the power out on a for the time impressive 300 hp. That is 82 hp more than the predecessor of the M5 under the hood. To limit they did at the time was still not, and who have enough patience, saw the counter, he just passed the 250 km/h crawl. The 100 in 6.5 seconds tapped.
Choices, choices… The B5 and B6 drive would undoubtedly be better and are a lot faster. But the first indent allowed to sit behind the classic Alpina’s. Just because they are so very fat. Who is agree with me (or not)?
