BMW i8 gets tuning and decent rubber from AC Schnitzer

21-inch AC wheels are the sporty driepitter not wrong.

Traditietuner AC Schnitzer, the BMW i8 from a few subtle modifications. The hybrid success story – this time not in black-and-blue or black-and-white but in a gray color scheme with what looks like a matte touch – got a few prijige carbon fiber additions, including a pruillipje to the front, side skirts, and a rear wing. Also, the well-known ACP-wheels in 21 inch. According to the tuner, they are 4.4 kg lighter than the standaardwielen.

This gewichtswinst is entirely offset by the much wider tires. The silly standaardbandjes of 215 and 195 mm wide were under the Gazelle of ACP managing director Rainer Vogel put, and replaced with 245/35 R 21 tires front and 285/30 R 21 copies behind. Somewhere in Munich, we hear someone very loudly swearing, because this goes completely against the BMW philosophy, but fuck it: under a sports car to hear the wide tires.

Reduction

At the same time of themselves all flat i8 still a little bit lower, 20 mm and 25 mm, which does wonders for the wheelgap reduction. Under the hood respected ACP the work of the engineers, here nothing was changed.
