A few days ago, Audi drew the cloth of the new A4, time for this Benjamin to show up against its two main German competitors and a sporty Brit as not to underestimate outsider.

Last Monday, presented by Audi, the brand new A4 generation B9. The look was not only by previously leaked images, no big surprise, the reserve design would not be particularly surprising. On the other hand, it is the Audi A4 still stayed friends with everyone, with this time a remarkably low drag coefficient of cw = only cW 0.23. That, in combination with the weight loss of 120 pounds, makes the A4 a lot more fuel-efficient than its predecessor.

As usual, there is a whole slew of gasoline – and diesel engines leverbar, varriërend of a 1.4 TFSI to 3.0 TDI. Obviously, this will later have an S4 and RS4, follow, but for now we must take the bread-and-boterversies do.

The competition

The brand new A4 comes not in a staggered to bed, and rightly so, because the competition is intense and yet a long way off retirement. Nevertheless, it is the BMW 3 Series of the Class F30 already since the beginning of 2012 on the market, after a introduction in October 2011. However, the new model was given a modest facelift. The Mercedes C-Class (W205) experienced its debut at the Detroit Auto Show, at the beginning of 2014, while the Jaguar XE in march 2014 was presented to the public, but it was only in april this year in production went.

Each of the four cars has its own qualities. Mercedes-Benz delivers traditionally the most comfortable car, while the BMW has a slightly sportier disposition. What is striking is that in Munich the 3 Series with the generation to be less sporty and a bit more comfort focused. Fortunately there is the Jaguar XE, which is happily taartpuntje of the BMW nibbling at it. With the new A4 we have, of course, not yet ridden, but with its standard front wheel drive and optional Quattro all-wheel drive, it will undoubtedly be the most predictable of the four.
