McLaren 650S ‘Project Kilo’ combines carbon with kiwi

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has its largest project to date is finished. On the basis of the 650S was a delicious special.

Although grey is the predominant, we see in several places subtle hints to the past of McLaren. As are various details in the orange which founder and namesake Bruce McLaren’s first racing cars painted. On the motorcover is adorned with a Kiwi, a reference to the New Zealand origin of Bruce. As with the legendary McLaren F1, has the MSO for the heat shield of the exhaust pipe 24-carat gold leaf used. This conducts the heat better, but it does, of course, especially good at family parties.
