Audi A5 DTM selection is a devilish coupe

At the end of his career, the Audi A5 will just have to wait a DTM costume crammed. For who kicks on stickers and badges.

It is not the first time that the A5 is a showcase for Audi’s DTM participation. This was two years ago already once done, to Audi’s championship in the Deutsche Tourenwagen-Masters to celebrate. Now is the coupé no real reason to stick with DTM stickers and badges.

Audi goes, there will be 50 of building, all painted in Misano red, punctuated by black skirts (the smallest they could find, apparently), and black inserts in the bumper. The A5 DTM is a 20-inch twinspoke alloy. Inside we immediately notice the huge bucket seats from the RS5, with a rear that just as the flanks of the centre console in red is sprayed. A color that matches the stitching in the leather and the alcantara steering wheel.

Under the hood resides Audi’s 3.0 TDI with 245 hp and 580 Nm. The lightest 3.0 TDI from the line-up, and that in a DTM team. Someone who’s logic here at all? Anyway, your breaks, no pots on the circuit, but sprinting the hundred in 5,9 seconds to do. Switch comes with an S tronic gearbox connected to a quattro drive system. How many of the 50 are coming to the Netherlands is not yet known.
