Volkswagen reveals Beetle Denim and Dune

There are two new flavours Volkswagen Beetle unveiled, the high on the legs of a rolling Dune, and the jeans-inspired Beetle Cabrio Denim.

Dune
The Dune is the production version of the concept car from 2014 and is inspired by the Baja Bugs of vroegah. The Dune is therefore higher on his legs, has a different grille with a honeycomb structure, a fake aluminum skidplate, aluminium-look side skirts, black spatbordverbreders and stickers on the side. There is also a new rear spoiler, rear bumper and the lamps provided (they are) LED’s in the taillights.

In the interior we find leather covered multi-function steering wheel, a 6.1-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and sport seats with orange stitching. In the long term, there will be a Dune Cabrio, promises Volkswagen. This is on the photos already, but not yet available.

Denim
But if you do not want to wait and have a speciaaltje with open roof, will is now the Denim Convertible. These rakes also back to the past, when the Beetle Jeans extremely popular. The Denim is available in Pure White and Stonewashed Blue and is standard equipped with a Dark Blue soft-top, which is specially designed to make you think of denim.

The designers did the interior also included in the theme. The chairs are upholstered with a denim-inspired fabric, trimmed with white piping. Also, there are small red “Beetle” tags to the chairs. The MIB II of 5.0 inches is standard, as well as a reversing camera and USB / iPod / bluetooth connectivity. There will be a maximum of 2000 units built of the Denim.

The netherlands
Volkswagen the Netherlands still do not know for sure whether they have the car to the Netherlands, they investigate the possibilities to do that. In the press releases of Volkswagen USA is at both of the cars spoken about only a 1.8 TSI with 170 hp and 249 Nm of torque, combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. However, this is a press release for the American market, and we can imagine that the cars, when they arrive in Europe, also other drivelines. As soon as we know more about this article an update.

For Europe, there will be three flavours of petrol (105, 150 and 220 hp) and two flavours of diesel (110 and 150 hp).
