Finally: the Lexus GS-F with 477 hp is here

It had been there for years to come, except an IS-F and RC-F, there could also be a GS-F to come. For the occasion, Lexus is the powertrain from the latter in the not so subtle GS spooned.

Where BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz turbo-engines in their powersedans and station wagons hang out, there will Lexus stick to an atmospheric V8. The 5-literblok kicks it up to a respectable 477 horsepower, the competition is doing it already today with a hp paper or 100 more. Also things like four-wheel drive should Lexus have nothing, the GS-F will send all of his forces to the rear wheels.

Then the car is definitely also equipped with a manual gearbox, you might think. No, you get your GS-F is always with eight speed automatic trough, which is of course with the hand to operate. The chassis according to Lexus two faces: it is comfortable enough for many highway kilometres and in addition tight enough to be on a twisty circuit, not by the ice bags. In practice, this usually represents a compromise that the both of the just is not, though we will first need to go for a drive before we judge.

Currently delivers Lexus the GS only in two hybrid models in the Netherlands, given the Dutch-language press release, we have good hope that also this GS-F here in the showroom will appear, but the decisive answer we have not yet.
