The cheapest petrol Maserati Ghibli on Marktplaats

Yes, of course you can go for a Giulia. But isn't the cheapest Maserati Ghibli on Marktplaats even a better Italian?

Maserati is a brand that captures the imagination of car enthusiasts. The ancient manufacturer with the trident in the logo has produced many a gem in its more than 100-year existence. Here and there, cars were sometimes sent out of the factory gates that were already practically “barrel” when new. were classifiable. But hey, that shouldn't spoil the fun.

The Maserati Ghibli (M157) may not belong in the category of absolute gems of the brand. But it is also certainly not 224 (no offense to the brave riders who read along). The car came on the market in 2013 and was actually more the successor of the Quattroporte V than the Quattroporte VI. In terms of size, the latter is about twenty centimeters longer than the Ghibli and the QP V.

What the Ghibli didn't have (it's been possible recently) is a roaring Ferrari V8 in the front. Instead, you could choose between a 3.0 diesel from VM Motori or an equally sized petrol block with 330 or 410 hp. The latter has some Chrysler genes if you do good research, but it certainly emits a Maserati-worthy sound for a V6.

Strengths of the Ghibli are epic driving characteristics, beautiful leather inside and good looks. Disadvantages are that the rest of the interior is not equally beautiful everywhere. That's because the Chrysler genes are really visible and tangible here. It was the time when the late Sergio Marchionne was the leader of FCA and he liked some baaaaaadge engineering here and there. Just ask the Lancia Voyager.

Now you might expect that a Maser from 2013 can now be bought for an apple and an egg. But that's disappointing. The Ghibli has been refusing to drop below 30,000 Euros on petrol for some time now. A thick 5-Series sedan from that time is considerably cheaper in that regard. Like the Giulia, the demand on the second-hand market is apparently relatively high compared to the supply. Why Italian debit?

The copy we found on Marktplaats still requires an investment of 32,995 Euro. It is a beige unit with 330 hp and red leather inside. The latter is of course not possible in a German, but it fits perfectly in a Ghibli. Also a bonus is that this Ghibli is made with the beautiful open cell wood. The mileage is 160,027 kilometers.
