Motorola is preparing its own smart column

Motorola, now owned by Chinese Lenovo is preparing to release its own smart column similar to the Google Mini and Amazon Echo. This was told by the resource profile AndroidPure gain access to renderam and other promotional materials with details.

Smart column features Motorola has voice control, similar to those which provides voice assistant Alexa from Amazon. She can tell you news, weather, stock, set a reminder or timer, to answer the user’s question from the Internet, and so on.




The column has a special child mode and can automatically switch to it if it finds a command that comes from the child. It can offer special content for kids, including stories and music. Also, the column can interact with the components of the smart home.

The hardware is based on processor ARM Cortex-A53, there is support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Column is 90 mm in diameter and weighs 280 grams. The timing of the release and estimated price is still unknown.
