The hp-race
A while ago we moved ourselves as editorial in all the comfort in the direction of Paris, where we once again were allowed to marvel at all the beautiful cars that were on display. My transport for the way back was the A8 4.2 TDI, the room was comfort enough, and the V8 diesel felt potent enough to make me the “king of the road” feeling. The even more bizarre to think that the S8 Plus almost twice as much horsepower. More than a 911 Turbo S or McLaren 570S, practically as much as an R8 (driving test), Huracan or 488. Da’s excess and that is probably exactly the reason that there is such a thing as the S8 Plus.

The V8 TFSI
Very difficult was it not for Audi to make the S8 a vermogensupgrade. The four-litre V8 in the regular S8 only 520 hp, but in the RS6, and in the various Bentley V8 S models running the counter in terms of horsepower already.
In cooperation with quattro gmbh changed Audi not only engine management, but was also the geometry of the turbo’s custom. The result is a plus of 85 horsepower for a total score of zeshonderdenvijf old-fashioned often. The torque is boosting up to 750 Nm, and under normal circumstances, the waivers and 700 Nm. It is no RS8
The name Audi was always pretty simple. An a with a lower number was a smaller Audi, with a higher number a larger (and more expensive Audi). A S is a fast Audi, a RS a retesnelle Audi. Now it seems to me that 605pk, 305 km/h and a sprint ability of small jets the predicate “retesnel” to earn, but still has Audi in all wisdom, decided that this car is no RS8 should be called. The relatively unassuming appearance is perhaps still stranger, you will really you need to do in order to see if the S8 rider a sloppy 30 mille extra has been issued for the Plus. The rear lights are slightly darker, the moldings around the windows are gloss black and the bumpers are a bit more black and carbon fiber accents. In short: an ordinary mortal can see the difference barely between the A8 and S8, and S8 Plus there is not at all between out.
The interior is great, although the combination with the testauto with grey exterior and black leather are not very brilliant. The materials used are top notch, with nice leather with red stitching, real carbon and aluminum where applicable. Only dissonant is the analog clock what is a little cheap, more than a simple dial with Audi rings is not. In this form, will only be terrible diehard Audi fans the as watch to the wrist, dare to do.
Depending on which camp you are is the S8 Plus this: a boring Audi with an ugly clock on the dashboard. Or: the allerdikste what Audi now has to offer. Choose but. Movie!
