Audi has us long in the dark left on the arrival of an S1, but that had everything to do with the attention that the A1 Quattro set had to be. That was only slightly limited, not only because of its astronomical price tag, especially given the limited edition of just 333 pieces.

But who soon still serious power in a car the size of a WASTE container in search of, can prepare themselves for the S1. This car is reportedly at the same time with the facelift of the regular A1 on the market, sometime in 2014. Expect updates for the headlights and taillights, a new grille, of course, large air tubes in the front and not less than four (4!) uitlaatuiteinden. According to the S-tradition of Audi, but with only a four-cylinder under the hood perhaps it is even time to that veelpijperij tradition to review.

About viercilinders spoken; that is the well-known 2.0 liter TFSI engine. In the Polo R WRC is blown, block is good for 220 hp, but the power in the S1, the A1 Quattro with 256 hp, of course, not to be exceeded. Expect the number of pk’s in there somewhere in between.
