Recycle your animal if it’s hurt and a doctor doesn’t help it in time. That is like real life. Or, if you like the animal too much, you can turn it all white and put on angel wings instead, but that is less realistic.

Get adopted. Most people have mom or dad in real life, so get one!

    • Getting adopted is not something everybody is interested in. If you don’t want to be adopted, you don’t have to.

If you are a baby, laugh when your parents tickle you. Cry when you fall.

Get a boyfriend or girlfriend as a teen or older. If you get one younger, then you are being unrealistic. Ask someone to be their girlfriend or boyfriend will cause your message to be blocked. Consider other ways to say “Will you be my boy/girlfriend?”.

    • If you aren’t interested in families, you can skip this.

If you are an adult, get a job. Pretend to work at the Hot Cocoa Hut, or try to get a job at a restaurant someone is having.

Get married before adopting someone else. It is much more realistic. If you don’t have free chat, you may need to think of alternatives to saying “marry” as Animal Jam will not allow that word. A couple alternatives you could use are “Mare ray” or “Merry”.

    • If you aren’t interested in families, you can skip this.

Make your den realistic. Use a Small House, Sol Arcade (it can seem like you own a arcade), Restaurant (it can seem like you own a restaurant or a cafe) or Old Barn (it can seem like you own a farm), people don’t live in castles, volcanoes, mushrooms, or underground in real life. Decorate it realistically. [Image: Be Realistic on Animal Jam Step 7.jpg|center]

    • For a kitchen, use a Cake Bake Kitchen (bought from Epic Wonders).
    • For the living room, use any type of couch or chair in front of a TV.
    • For a bedroom, use any type of sofa, and you can add things like a laptop and stuffed animals, since those would be in your bedroom in real life.
    • For the walls, keep it realistic. People don’t have lava floors and slime walls in real life. Use a brown tile carpet and dust striped or pink striped walls.

Dress the part. Don’t wear things like royal tiaras and fairy wings, because that is not what someone would wear in real life. For girls, during Summer you can wear a Tie-Dye T-Shirt, Flip Flops or Sandals, a Visor, and any girly necklace that is realistic. During Winter you can wear a Winter Coat and Cozy Shoes. For boys, you can wear a Baseball Cap and Sports Jersey. If you are at a Dinner Party or prom, wear a Tuxedo.

    • Many realistic clothes are only available to members. If you’re a non-member, try your best to find clothes that don’t look too crazy. Avoid weapons (e.g. bows and pirate swords) and Diamond Shop items. Ties (from Jam Mart) are great to use if you’re going to work.

Send realistic Jam-a-Grams to your friends. Don’t send them “Animal Jam Rocks” or “Do you want to trade?”. Use more realistic phrases such as “Meet me (place)” or “You doing anything today?”.
