users in Russia make purchases in AliExpress annually.
Chinese online giant AliExpress for the first time revealed statistics on sales in Russia. This was stated by the head of AliExpress in Russia, Liu Wei in an interview with RBC.
The number of active users from Russia, who at least once a year to make purchases in AliExpress reaches 20 million. Indicators site Tmall, has scored in Russia a year ago, much lower. However, Tmall is growing and revenues for the year reached 10% of the Russian turnover AliExpress.
Liu Wei said that AliExpress in the last year intensively invested in the Russian market: “Investment in logistics has been estimated at about 500 million rubles. Plus there were investments in it, and they amounted to about 2 billion rubles ($30 million), plus our costs for development of partnership infrastructure.”
