In Russia to 2024 will launch a cellular network, designed specifically for socially significant facilities and special consumers, in other words, for officials and security forces. This was told to the newspaper “Vedomosti” with reference to passport program “Digital economy”, approved on Monday by the government.
The network will work on LTE-450. The range of 450 MHz is used by the operator Tele2, the latter has already confirmed plans to participate in a government project.
As the newspaper notes, the LTE-450 allows to set priorities for groups to work like a walkie-talkie (push-to-talk) and send the video. Quick coupling sufficient “minimum” number of base stations.
The cost of creating such a network is estimated at around 73,4 billion. Also for officials and security forces will be created a special mobile application focused on internal needs.
