HTC nearly died: the sales fell by 68%

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC continues to endure. In June, its sales fell by almost 68 percent.

This is the largest decline in more than two years, during which the company continued to lose customers amid growing competition with other producers.

Sales revenue in June amounted to $ 72 million, whereas in the same period last year it reached 226 million. In may, sales reached $ 80 million.

According to analysts from Trendforce, sales of its flagship smartphone in the current year will be lower than expected, which will lead to the loss of market share, with regard to HTC smartphones secondary and primary levels, the new models do not offer any fresh features, or a good ratio performance/price.

We will remind, last week HTC announced big job cuts — almost a quarter of the state, or 1.5 thousand people.
