The first unmanned aerial vehicle “Mail of Russia” crashed

The first transport unmanned aerial vehicle “Mail of Russia”, which was planned to deliver a package from Ulan-Ude to the village of Lower Santoy located 16 km from the launch site, dropped almost immediately after takeoff.

Republic of Buryatia has been chosen as a pilot region for the implementation of less technology in the delivery of postal goods during the investment forum in Sochi this year. Monday, April 2, was held the first launch of the device “Rudran/Forwarder 3M” in Russia.

At a solemn demonstration of the experimental run gathered officials and journalists of Buryatia. However, they were disappointed. Almost immediately after you start the drone with a weight of 2 kilograms began to decline sharply, then crashed into a house on the second floor and showered shrapnel along with the package. The unit cost 1.2 million rubles can not be restored, as you can see from the pictures below.

The cause of the accident “remains unknown”, but the two remaining the same drone decided not to touch it — apparently so as not to “ruin” the Park ahead of time. It is possible that the main cause of the accident are technical defects of the aircraft. “Mail of Russia” has never used such transport.

It should be noted that in the future, the use of heavier UAVs that can carry up to 300 pounds of cargo… fly, you fools!
