The Japanese company began developing jet fuel from algae

Experts of the bioenergy Euglena company have teamed with five partners to 2019 to build and run in test mode first plant of biofuel. If all goes well, then a year later Euglena is about to start deliveries of the new fuel for cars and airplanes.

The main problem of biofuel production is the feasibility of the idea. Not only airlines, but also ordinary car owners, do not object to the use of environmentally friendly and inexpensive fuel, but to produce such fuel is quite disadvantageous from the economic point of view.

To accelerate research in this area of the company Euglena needs money so she sells the shares, simultaneously engaged in search of partners and investors. Their participation in the project was confirmed by the agricultural machinery manufacturer Kobashi Kogyo invested in the project about $ 4 million.

With good alignment, Euglena meets annually to earn the fuel up to one billion dollars a year by 2030.
